- The Hong Kong Palace Museum contains a total of nine galleries, each hosting thematic exhibitions In the Opening Exhibition, five of the nine galleries will host exhibitions that dive into a wide range of topics related to the Palace Museum, including its architecture, art collections (including paintings, calligraphies, ceramics and art objects), cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the Ming and Qing dynasties, court life and culture, as well as the museum’s role in intangible cultural heritage transmission Two other galleries will feature Chinese art collections from Hong Kong along with multimedia installations from Hong Kong artists inspired by palace culture The Museum regularly presents special exhibitions featuring Chinese art and culture, as well as art and treasures from other parts of the world

The Hong Kong Palace Museum presents over 900 priceless treasures from the Palace Museum. Many of them are on display in Hong Kong for the first time, while others have never been shown to the public before.
The Museum regularly presents special exhibitions featuring Chinese art and culture, as well as art and treasures from other parts of the world.
Key themes involve the life of the emperors, festivals, the aesthetic taste of the emperors, and the relationship between members of the imperial family. In this exhibition visitors will discover the crowning achievements of imperial garden-palace design, the stories about the garden’s principal residents, and the history of the Qing imperial court.
